Cabell Library Extends Hours

James Branch Cabell Library will remain open around the clock until its closing at 8 p.m. Dec. 19. The change is made in response to the new exam schedule, necessitated by recent weather closings. Study areas on all five floors and the information desks at the library, 901 Park Ave., will be open.

Faculty and Staff Retirement Savings Limits Increase for 2019

Annual deferral limits for the VCU 403(b) Tax Deferred Annuity Plan and the VRS 457 Deferred Compensation Plan will increase to $19,000 in 2019. Participants aged 50-plus may contribute up to an additional $6,000 to either or both plans in 2019. No employee action is required due to these changes, however employees wishing to change deferral amounts may do so using instructions under "Retirement tax-savings limits" at the following URL.

Winter Break Hours for VCU Recreational Sports

VCU Recreational Sports will be operating on abbreviated hours during winter break. Cary Street Gym will be closed Dec. 21-Jan. 1. MCV Campus Recreation and Aquatic Center will be closed Dec. 24, 25, 31 and Jan. 1. A list of winter break hours and closures is available at the following URL.

Igniter Crowdfunding Application Open for Submissions

VCU's office of Annual Giving has opened the application process for Spring 2019 crowdfunding projects. The submission window is open through Jan. 2 and applicants will be notified by Jan. 15 of projects that have been chosen. Selected crowdfunding projects will surface in May 2019. Final Grades for Fall 2018 Due Dec. 20

Grade sheets for Fall 2018 are available on faculty eServices. Grades are due by noon on Dec. 20. At that time grading will be turned off. Faculty may only access grade sheets for courses to which they have been assigned in the class schedule. Contact the appropriate departmental course scheduling representative for missing grade sheets.

RamSafe Service Schedule for Winter Break
