The Discovery program at VCU's Mary and Frances Youth Center is accepting class proposals through Feb. 6 for its summer session. Discovery offers week-long career exploration classes at the center, 120 S. Linden St., focused on STEM, arts and health sciences for middle school students from July 29-Aug. 16. Faculty, staff and students are invited to apply and become instructors. Discovery also has internship opportunities available.

James Branch Cabell Library will remain open around the clock until its closing at 8 p.m. Dec. 19. The change is made in response to the new exam schedule, necessitated by recent weather closings. Study areas on all five floors and the information desks at the library, 901 Park Ave., will be open.

Annual deferral limits for the VCU 403(b) Tax Deferred Annuity Plan and the VRS 457 Deferred Compensation Plan will increase to $19,000 in 2019. Participants aged 50-plus may contribute up to an additional $6,000 to either or both plans in 2019.
