ICA Provocations Performance: Lyricist Lounge
Friday, Jan. 4, 2019 at 4 p.m.
Underground hip-hop showcase Lyricist Lounge performs at the ICA. Performances will also be staged at 7 p.m. Jan. 4 and 3 p.m. Jan. 5 as part of Rashid Johnson's "Monument" exhibition at the Institute for Contemporary Art at the Markel Center, 601 W. Broad St.

Free Sessions of Chair Yoga
Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019 from noon to 1 p.m.
VCU Human Resources and Recreational Sports will offer 45-minute sessions of chair yoga. The goal of chair yoga is improve posture, increase flexibility, reduce stress and improve balance while avoiding injury. A class will be held at the Cary Street Gym, 101 S. Linden St. Two classes per month will be offered, alternating between the Monroe Park and MCV campuses.

Recovery Ally Training
Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019 from 9 a.m. to noon
The Wellness Resource Center will host the Recovery Ally Program, a training session designed to help participants better support students and loved ones in recovery. The session, for faculty, staff and students, will be held in Room 1105, Academic Learning Commons, 1000 Floyd Ave. Registration, at the following URL, is mandatory.
