Remembrance Event for Those Lost to Substance Use
11:30 a.m.
Join the Wellness Resource Center and campus and community members to plan a spring event to remember loved ones lost to substance use, substance-related violence and addiction. The planning event will be at RVA Light, 504 W. Broad St. The remembrance event is scheduled for 4:30-6:30 p.m. March 21 at Monroe Park.

Stalking and Relationship Breakups
Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2019 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
VCU's Wellness Resource Center will host a session about defining the boundaries between a difficult relationship breakup and stalking. The session, in conjunction with January's Stalking Awareness Month, will be held in Virginia Room B, University Student Commons, 907 Floyd Ave. The Well offers statistics, facts and resources concerning stalking at the following URL. National Association of Black Social Workers at VCU - General Body Meeting

Violence Awareness Day Food Drive
Thursday, Jan. 31, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Alpha Kappa Delta Phi will host a food drive at the University Student Commons, 907 Floyd Ave., to collect food donated to the YWCA in support of women escaping violence. Items to be accepted include canned food, cereal boxes and nonperishable snacks.

Parliamentary Procedure Workshop
Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m.
VCU's ASPiRE and the National Association of Parliamentarians will host a parliamentary procedure workshop in Room 1004 F and G, West Grace South Residence Hall, 835 W. Grace Street. The workshop will focus on the basic principles of Robert's Rules of Order and processing motions. The lessons are designed to teach participants how to conduct more efficient meetings and to promote group civility. An experienced parliamentarian will be available for questions.

VCU Recreational Sports To Host Spring Family Day

Call for Applications: Harris Manchester College Summer Research Institute at Oxford University
VCU's Global Education Office is accepting applications for the 2019 Harris Manchester College Summer Research Institute at Oxford University. The institute, to be held June 30-July 7, provides an opportunity for faculty to enhance a research project through a week of focused study. Participants' time is their own to study, write and take advantage of cultural activities at Oxford University. Applications are due by 4:30 p.m. March 18.
