Franklin St. "fēkit," featuring works by Sophie Haulman, John Huggins, Max Motmans and Odile Postic, is curated by VCUarts Art History undergraduate students Eleazar Carreon, Elena Gavrilovic, Gabrielle Pena and Elise Ryder. Thresholds, the second exhibit, examines the link between intimacy and social reality via storytelling and embodied experience by artists Katelyn Hood, Yixue Li and Seren Moran. Thresholds is curated by VCUarts Art History undergraduate students Adriana Acuna, Samantha Bantly, Rachael Harvey and Lauryn Pulliam. In the third exhibit, Mature Fruitbody, artists Petra Szilagyi and Umico forge a muddy, decomposing spatial experience surrounded by the spores of their research. Outside, Tectona Reuggen muses on grapes and surgery in a video while Greta Breckmueller’s profile will be linked via plantable seed paper. Mature Fruitbody is curated by VCUarts Art History undergraduate students Ember Ashley, Dominique Gay, Kyle Maurer and Rebecca Mohr. The three exhibits will run through Feb. 26. The annual open enrollment period for the VCU Optional Retirement Plan allows participating faculty and University and Academic Professionals to change their investment company selection to either TIAA or Fidelity for future ORP contributions. Massey Cancer Center is accepting internal pre-applications for the V Foundation 2019 V Scholar Award. This award supports young tenure-track faculty early in their cancer research career by funding a range of projects from laboratory-based research through bench-to-bedside research. Cardiac Arrest Research Study

ACCESS is an emergency cardiac arrest research study being conducted at VCU. The study involves the evaluation of two standard-of-care strategies for the treatment of patients who are successfully resuscitated after an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest treated with a defibrillator shock being performed partly under the Department of Health and Human Services regulations allowing an exception to informed consent under emergency research circumstances.
