State Capitol Tour
Thursday, Mar. 7, 2019 from noon to 1 p.m.
VCU's Staff Senate is offering tours of the Virginia Capitol. Guided tours of the Capitol for VCU and VCU Health employees will begin at the Capitol entrance at 10th and Bank streets. A tour will also be offered March 8. Participants should arrive by 11:45 a.m. and must show a valid ID. Register at the following URL. The tours are offered in recognition of Employee Appreciation Week, through March 8.

'The Role of DNA in the Identification of Missing U.S. Service Members'

Joe Ring, senior research DNA analyst in the Emerging Technologies Section at the Armed Forces DNA Identification Laboratory, will discuss "The Role of DNA in the Identification of Missing U.S. Service Members." The talk, hosted by VCU's Department of Forensic Science, will be in Room 2129, Grace E. Harris Hall, 1015 Floyd Ave.

'Worst Case Scenario: Being Ready for Disaster'
Friday, Mar. 22, 2019 from noon to 1 p.m.
VCU's Center for Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Care will host a lecture about preparing for a disaster. “Worst Case Scenario: Being Ready for Disaster” will be in Room 200, McGuire Hall, 1112 E. Clay St. Learn how governmental agencies plan for disasters, how health-care practitioners can participate in disaster preparedness and how collaboration and coordination is essential for effective disaster response. Speakers will be James Keck, Associate Professor Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness; and Chris Hogan, Associate Professor Emergency Medicine. Campus Connector/RamSafe Service During Spring Break
VCU's Campus Connector will operate on a reduced schedule during spring break. From March 4-8, the Campus Connector will operate from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. On March 9, there will be no Connector service. Normal service will resume March 10. RamSafe will respond to cross-campus requests from 5 p.m. to 8 a.m. while the Campus Connector is not in service.

Time to Order Regalia for May Commencement
Virginia Commonwealth University's May Commencement exercises take place at 10 a.m. on May 11 at the Greater Richmond Convention Center. Faculty participating in the ceremony will wear academic apparel. Regalia must be ordered by April 12.
