Navigating the NIH Research Grant Process

VCU's C. Kenneth and Dianne Wright Center for Clinical and Translational Research presents a seminar on grant writing for early career faculty researchers. ICA Provocations Performance: Dylan Languell
Friday, May 10, 2019 at 4 p.m.
In response to Rashid Johnson’s “Monument” installation, artist and musician Dylan Languell will present an improvisational group musical performance using multiple pianos. The performance will be at the Institute for Contemporary Art at the Markel Center, 601 W. Broad St. A performance will also be given at the same location at 3 p.m. May 11.

ICA Topic Tour: Architecture and Watercolor

Mary Anne Rennolds Concert Series: Lara St. John, Violin, and Matt Herskowitz, Piano

VCU's Department of Music presents Lara St. John, violin, and Matt Herskowitz, piano, as part of the Mary Anne Rennolds Concert Series. The concert will be in the Sonia Vlahcevic Concert Hall of the W.E. Singleton Center for the Performing Arts, 922 Park Ave. General admission tickets are $35. Tickets for those ages 60-plus, VCU employees and VCU Alumni Association members are $32. Tickets for children ages 16 and younger are $25 and free for VCU Music students and VCU Music faculty. The Untapped Potential of Mining Clinical Text for Research

Kenneth and Dianne Wright Center for Clinical and Translational Research and Tompkins-McCaw Library, Wright Center senior bioinformatics specialist Amy Olex will discuss applications being developed and used at VCU to mine electronic health records for research data. 'Talking the Talk: Public Speaking Demystified'

VCU's Center for Corporate Education presents "Talking the Talk: Public Speaking Demystified." The Lunch-and-Learn series installment, to be held in Room B3189, Snead Hall, School of Business, 301 W. Main St., will uncover key strategies and approaches to giving successful presentations in any setting. Helene Bumbalo, MS, affiliate faculty, VCU College of Health Professions, Gerontology, will conduct the session. The $35 fee includes lunch and parking.

Final Grading for Spring 2019
Grading for Spring 2019 has begun. Grade sheets are available on faculty eServices. Grades are due by noon on May 14; at which time grading will be turned off. Faculty may only access grade sheets for courses to which they have been assigned in the Class Schedule.
