VCUarts Department of Kinetic Imaging presents "Breathe, River," an immersive sound installation by Sara Bouchard (MFA 2019) May 31-June 2 in Richmond's historic Pump House, 1708 Pump House Drive. The work is informed by conversations with aquatic ecologist Paul Bukaveckas, Ph.D., of VCU's Rice Rivers Center and features a musical composition based on water quality data from the James River. VCU Police and VCU Parking and Transportation remind the VCU community that upcoming high school graduations will create interruptions to parking from June 5-7 and June 11-15. Additionally, traffic within the area surrounding the Siegel Center is expected to be heavier than normal. West Broad Street Deck subscribers will relocate to alternate facilities and a dedicated shuttle service will be provided. Reciprocal parking will be disabled at West Broad Street Deck from June 5-7 and June 11-15.

Effective May 28, VCU's Connector Express will relocate its temporary Sanger Hall stop (currently located at Children's Hospital of Richmond) to McGuire Hall. Additionally, the Eighth and Franklin Street stop will be relocated to Eighth and Main Streets. Please note, buses will use the Eighth and Main Street stop for passengers traveling in both directions (toward Sanger Hall and Cabell Library). Passengers should pay close attention to identify the direction the bus is traveling on the route prior to boarding.

VCU Recreational Sports is hosting a nature camp for rising sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade students. The day camp will be held June 17-21 at the Inger and Walter Rice Center for Environmental Life Sciences, 3800 John Tyler Memorial Highway, Charles City County. Campers will explore the the James River watershed and learn from the VCU Prothonotary Warbler research team and participants in the Virginia Oyster Shell Recycling Program.
