Make Your Research More Reproducible

VCU Libraries and the VCU Data Science Lab are offering a half-day workshop to provide hands-on instruction in reproducibility techniques through the use of the Open Science Framework. Learn how to make your research more reproducible and set up your own OSF project page. By attending, you will get hands-on experience to facilitate future data sharing, improve team communication and increase your research profile. The session will be held in Room 2-006, the Computer Classroom, Tompkins-McCaw Library for the Health Sciences, 509 N. 12th St. Register at the following URL.

'Using LinkedIn to Boost Your Career'

VCU's Center for Corporate Education presents "Using LinkedIn to Boost Your Career." The event will be in Room B3189, Snead Hall, School of Business, 301 W. Main St. The session, to be led by Latisha Taylor, M.A., Associate Director, Outreach and Engagement – VCU Alumni Career Programs, will guide participants in a step-by-step process to strengthen their LinkedIn profile to attract recruiters. New Shuttle Provider To Begin Operating Aug. 1
Effective Aug. 1, RMA Worldwide will provide RamSafe, RamCharter and RamRide shuttle services for the VCU community. An interim fleet of minibuses will be used to service RamRide routes until the permanent fleet arrives. Passengers can track RamRide using the Ride Systems platform, available for download through Google Play and iOs app stores or VCU Mobile. Additionally, riders should flash their current VCU ID card to the RamRide driver upon boarding.

OCPE Personal and Professional Development Programs
VCU's Office of Continuing and Professional Education offers a variety of in-classroom and online learning opportunities. Continuing education, for VCU faculty, staff, students, alumni and community members, is available in craft beer, cultural competency and languages, disability support services, engineering, event planning, mindfulness, paralegal studies, play therapy and test prep for the GMAT, GRE, LSAT, SAT, ACT, Praxis Core and MCAT. Foundations of Biochemistry is also offered.

Applications Due Aug. 30 for Tina L. Bachas Oncology Nursing Research Award
The Tina L. Bachas Oncology Nursing Research Award, announced by Massey Cancer Center, strives to advance oncology nursing research. Bachas served as Massey's first director of oncology nursing and she and her husband have committed their support in honor of Walter Lawrence Jr., M.D. Bachas worked closely with Lawrence throughout her tenure. This award will support full-scale, nursing-led research and evidence-based projects. This is a general cancer-focused grant. Project funding is up to $20,000 for one year. Latinx Sought for Research Study on Policies
Researchers in VCU's Department of Psychology are interested in learning more about the psychological impact of current policies on individuals who immigrated to the United States at a young age. Participation includes a one-hour confidential interview. Compensation is available.
