VCU Police Urge Cyclists To Use U-locks

In the aftermath of stolen bicycle reports, VCU Police remind cyclists to properly lock bikes on bike racks. Police urge cyclists to use U-locks instead of chain locks because thieves can easily cut chain locks. VCUPD’s next bike registration is 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Sept. 18 at the Jonah L. Larrick Student Center, 900 Turpin St. Officers will be giving away free U-locks. Cyclists can visit VCUPD headquarters, 224 E. Broad St., to pick up a U-lock. Bikes can be registered online.

MCV Campus Construction: Traffic Impact Updates

Construction and related utility work at and around the VCU Health Outpatient Facility and Inpatient Children’s Hospital sites will affect traffic patterns on the MCV Campus for several months.
