Film Screening: 'Give Me a Shot of Anything'

VCU Libraries and University Student Commons and Activities will host a screening and discussion of “Give Me A Shot of Anything.” The film will be shown at the Court End Ballroom, Jonah L. Larrick Student Center, 900 Turpin St. Dinner will be served on a first-come, first-served basis. The documentary follows a street doctor and his team as they make house calls to the homeless, offering their patients hope and a chance to feel whole again. A discussion will follow the screening. Professional Development for Artists: Grant Writing

The goal of this seminar is to demystify the process by providing artists with the necessary skills to write a successful grant. Participants Sought for Study of Mental Health of University-Enrolled African American Men
Kofoworola Williams, a fourth-year Social and Behavioral Sciences Ph.D. candidate, is seeking participants for a focus group. The purpose is to understand the factors that impact the mental health of black men and where they would go for support. Those who take part must be undergraduate black/African American males between the ages of 18 and 25. Participation will require a 60- to 90-minute focus group discussion in a private room on campus. Participants will be compensated $30.
