VCU's Education Abroad Office will hold a fall fair at the University Student Commons, 907 Floyd Ave. Learn about options for the semester, summer and short term. Talk to study-abroad staff and returning students. Ten students will receive a $500 study-abroad award.

Discussion on Sexual Violations of Enslaved Men
3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Thomas A. Foster, Ph.D., a historian of sexuality and gender in early America, will lead a discussion hosted by VCU's Department of History. The talk will be in Room 250, James Branch Cabell Library, 901 Park Ave. In his book, "Rethinking Rufus: Sexual Violations of Enslaved Men," Foster illuminates how the conditions of slavery gave rise to a variety of forms of sexual assault and exploitation that affected all members of the community.

Two Presentations Planned for TRIPN Research Meeting

The Translational Research Initiative for Pain and Neuropathy at VCU (TRIPN) will hold its monthly research meeting. The session will be in Rooms 12-101 and 102, James W. and Frances G. McGlothlin Medical Education Center, 1201 E. Marshall St. Research presentations will include "Methadone: Implications of Pharmacology for Its Use in Pain Treatment" by S. Housing Evictions Beyond the Numbers
