Truman Scholarship Informational Session Set

ICA Cinema To Present 'Toni Morrison: The Pieces I Am'

ICA Cinema will host a screening of 'Toni Morrison: The Pieces I Am.’ The documentary will be shown at the Institute for Contemporary Art at the Markel Center, 601 W. Broad St. In the film, Morrison leads an assembly of her peers, critics and colleagues on an exploration of race, America, history and the human condition as seen through the prism of her own literature. Scholar and award-winning author Nikki Giovanni will lead a post-screening conversation.

VRS Hybrid Contribution Deadline is Sept. 16
Sept. 16 is the election deadline for voluntary contributions to become effective in October for Virginia Retirement System Hybrid Plan participants. Voluntary contributions can be changed once per calendar quarter. Participants can voluntarily contribute up to 4 percent of their creditable salary and receive up to a 2.5 percent employer match.
