RAMmalogues Session on Gender To Be Oct. 25
12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The October RAMmalogues session is on Gender: My Identity, My Expression, My Expectations. The session provides lunch and a braver/safer space for all students to have the hard conversations about their social identities and lived experiences at VCU. The session will be in Room 250, James Branch Cabell Library, 901 Park Ave. Students can talk about gender in the context of acceptance, belonging and inclusion around campus. Sessions are led by trained facilitators through VCU's Division for Inclusive Excellence. Registration is required. The next RAMmalogues is Nov. 15. Register at the following URL.

Alpha Phi Omega To Have Environmental Booth at Monroe Park

VCU Guitar Series: Fado Nosso
Sunday, Oct. 27, 2019 at 4 p.m.
Fado Nosso, which plays what has been described as Portuguese blues, will perform in the Sonia Vlahcevic Concert Hall, W.E. Singleton Center for the Performing Arts, 922 Park Ave. The group, featuring members from Richmond-area groups including the Larri Branch Agenda, Richmond Guitar Quartet, Gypsy Roots and Moruza, draws upon influences from jazz, classical, flamenco and folk. General admission is $15, $10 for non-VCU students and free for VCU students with a current ID.

National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day Set
Oct. 26 is National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day. Expired or unused medications can be dropped off at two VCU locations: University Student Health Services (Pharmacy Drug Drop Box), 1300 W. Broad St., and VCU Police Department (Police Headquarters Lobby), 224 E. Broad St. No liquids that may leak, no illegal drugs and no syringes will be accepted. Photo Exhibit 'Life Beyond the Library' at Tompkins-McCaw Library

Showcasing a variety of subjects and locations, the 25 photos selected for "Life Beyond the Library" offer glimpses of interests, views and perspectives away from the bustle of the MCV campus. The showcase, at Tompkins-McCaw Library for the Health Sciences, 509 N. 12th St., runs through Jan. 31, 2020.

Participants Invited To Help Researchers Better Understand Substance Use
VCU's Institute for Drug and Alcohol Studies is currently recruiting participants for various brain scan research studies. Adult volunteers who don’t use, sometimes use or frequently use substances such as cocaine, prescription pain pills or alcohol may be eligible. The information you provide is confidential, and participants are compensated for their time. The study will be conducted at 203 E. Cary St.
