VCU’s Facilities Management Department is replacing the “QuikFM” customer service portal effective Dec. 9. The new system, “Facilities Self Service,” utilizes a mobile-friendly responsive and accessible design, CAS authentication, and other improvements. Recruiting Now for TEENS, a Weight Management Research Program for 12-16-year-olds

Are you concerned about your teen’s weight? We can help. TEENS is a research program that includes a four-month family-based lifestyle intervention at Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU for overweight teens ages 12 to 16. The program includes weekly group classes for teens and parents that cover topics such as healthy eating, physical activity and goal-setting. Teens also have access to a gym with personal trainers.

Participants Are Invited for Study Examining Estrogen and Blood Vessel Function

We are seeking females between the ages of 18 and 35 years to participate in a study examining the effect of estrogen on blood vessel health and function at rest and during exercise. Participants Invited for Study Evaluating Noninvasive Brain Stimulation to Activate Muscle

The VCU Department of Biomedical Engineering is seeking male and female volunteers ages 18-65 without a history of neurological disorder to participate in a research study. This study involves transcranial magnetic stimulation, which is a noninvasive and widely used brain stimulation technique. Volunteers will be compensated for their time, which will be three hours for each of two sessions on different days. The study is conducted at 737 N. Fifth St. Recruitment is ongoing and a telephone call is needed to determine eligibility.
