VCU Police Remind Drivers To Leave a Note or Call After Damaging Vehicles

The VCU Police Department has seen an increase in the number of reported hit-and-run crashes, especially in parking facilities. These minor crashes are unintentional and tend to happen at very low speeds when a driver is parking or leaving a parking space. In the event you’re involved in such a crash, as either the driver or a passenger, you have a legal responsibility to leave your information on the vehicle you damaged or contact police. If you do not, you’re a hit-and-run driver.

Holiday on Premiums for Health Coverage

The Commonwealth of Virginia state budget for 2019-2020 includes a premium holiday in October 2019. As a result, VCU faculty, staff and former employees who participate in COVA, Kaiser and Optima health plans will not pay any premium for October health coverage. This premium holiday for state plan participants applies to the Oct. 16 and Nov. 1 pay dates.
