Interlibrary Loan, Document Delivery Services To Close During Break

VCU Libraries' interlibrary loan and delivery services will not operate during the VCU Winter Closing Dec. 21 to Jan. 5. Researchers are encouraged to submit requests as soon as possible to have needed materials in hand. The time required to obtain materials from other institutions increases greatly during December and January due to breaks, holiday mail volume and increased end-of-semester workloads. Many libraries do not lend at all from mid-December through mid-January.

Games To Be Collected for Carver Promise Program

During December, VCU ASPiRE will collect gently used board games, puzzles and children's books to benefit one of their community partners, the Carver Promise Program. Many VCU students volunteer weekly with this program mentoring elementary school students. Items can be dropped off at the VCU ASPiRE office, 835 W. Grace St., between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. or email the following address to arrange to have the donations picked up.

VCUDine Sets Final Exam Location Hours and Fall Dining Plans

VCUDine locations will operate under special hours during final exams. Starbucks in James Branch Cabell Library, 901 Park Ave., will be open 24 hours from 7 a.m. Dec. 9 through 6 p.m. Dec. 13. Faculty and Staff Retirement Savings Limits Increase for 2020

Annual deferral limits for the VCU 403(b) Tax Deferred Annuity Plan and the VRS 457 Deferred Compensation Plan will increase to $19,500 in 2020. Participants aged 50-plus may contribute up to an additional $6,500 to either or both plans in 2020. No employee action is required due to these changes, however, employees wishing to change deferral amounts may do so by following the instructions under "Retirement tax-savings limits" at the following URL.
