This IExcel Education seminar encourages faculty and staff to focus on health inequities as they examine relevant data and share the VCU Health Equity Initiative. Faculty and staff will become more aware of factors that contribute to disparities in health and health care, and this understanding can serve as a springboard for action and engagement in their own disciplines and fields of expertise. Writing Retreats Set for Doctoral and Master's Thesis Writers
Monday, Feb. 3, 2020 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
VCU Libraries invites ABD students, doctoral candidates and masters thesis writers to a series of all-day writing retreats. Spacious writing space with big tables and power strips will be available each day. The drop-in series, in Room 303, James Branch Cabell Library, 901 Park Ave., is free and open to all. Retreats will also be held March 2 and April 13. The Dissertation and Thesis Writing Retreat is a partnership with the libraries, VCU Graduate School, VCU Writing Center and VCU Wellness Resource Center.

Whitney Hubbs Artist Talk at ICA

Virginia Clinical Research Conference: Collaborate 2020

The Virginia Clinical Research Conference, hosted by the VCU C. Kenneth and Dianne Wright Center for Clinical and Translational Research, is a one-day event that brings together research teams from across Virginia to collaborate and strengthen the statewide clinical research enterprise. The event will be held at the Hilton Richmond Hotel and Spa/Short Pump, 12042 W Broad St. Submissions for the poster competition are due Feb. 28. Early-bird registration ends Feb. 3 and the deadline to register is March 3.

The Honors College is accepting research proposals from faculty interested in working with Honors College students to conduct research during summer 2020. The Honors Summer Undergraduate Research Program gives undergraduate honors students the opportunity to work closely with faculty mentors in an intensive nine-week summer research experience.
