Pop-Up Naloxone Training
12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Rams In Recovery will host a pop-up naloxone training session in the lobby of the University Student Commons, 907 Floyd Ave. Naloxone is a lifesaving drug that can be given to an individual who has overdosed on opiates. The free training takes five minutes. Free naloxone will be provided.

Lunch and Learn About Community Service Hours

VCU Staff Senate is hosting a Community Service Lunch and Learn about community service hours. The event will be in Room 250, James Branch Cabell Library, 901 Park Ave. Speakers will include Tito Luna, director, Neighborhood Outreach; Logan Vetrovec, director, Community Integration Administrator; and Alisa Brewer, director, Community Engagement and Outreach with the Center on Health Disparities. Questions to be addressed include the difference between Community Service and Enhanced Community Service Leave, buckets of leave, using leave in increments, using leave to volunteer at a favorite nonprofit organization and department members using leave together as a group. Wilderness First Aid Registration and Wilderness First Responder Refresher
Wilderness First Aid is a 16-hour course covering emergency medical care in remote or disaster settings. This certification is good for two years. The Wilderness First Responder Refresher is a intensive two-day course serves as a refresher on standard wilderness first responder curriculum. Virtual Reality to Treat Your Back Pain
Are you currently experiencing low back pain, between the ages of 18 and 60 years old and interested in the possibility of nine weeks of nonsurgical experimental treatment? If you answered yes to all three you may qualify for our research. Visit the following URL. What? New, innovative, and fun Virtual Reality games designed to help people with chronic back pain move and feel better. Where? All appointments, testing and treatments are conducted at VCU. When? Participation in the study involves 24 one-hour appointments scheduled over a 57-week period. Who?
