Faculty/staff Issue for January 8, 2020

Special Announcement

Emergency Systems Test Set for Jan. 8: No Audible Testing

VCU will conduct a software test of its emergency communications systems at noon on Jan. 8. Because this test will only activate computer software systems, no emergency communications devices, such as sirens, will be activated or audible. VCU Police will not issue text messages to signify the beginning or end of this software test. In an actual life-threatening emergency, sirens and other technologies would be activated to warn people that there is an immediate risk to the area.
