Franklin St. The artists utilize religious iconography to create a whimsical depiction of sainthood. Each piece within "Sunday Donut" is a meditation on saints and their place in the modern world. VCU Libraries' ‘Freedom Now’ Project To Be Featured on Feb. 24 PBS History Program

A VCU Libraries’ digital project will be featured when “The Future of America’s Past” premieres on Virginia Public Media at 10 p.m. Feb. 24. In the segment, "School Interrupted," the project illustrates the struggle to desegregate public schools in Prince Edward County. The project displays images documenting civil rights protests in Farmville in 1963. Host historian Edward Ayers explores the impact and legacy of early student civil rights protests in the show.

VCU Seeking Research Volunteers Who Drink Alcohol

Virginia Commonwealth University Institute for Drug and Alcohol Studies is seeking volunteers aged 21-55 to participate in research studying the brain’s reaction to alcohol. Eligible participants will be paid $150 for every test day (three test days) and additional compensation for each clinic visit. Principal investigator is Albert Arias, M.D., MS.
