Holiday Pop-Up Market at ICA
Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Soul N' Vinegar and the ICA Shop have organized a holiday pop-up market at the Institute for Contemporary Art at the Markel Center, 601 W. Broad St. Among the participants in the market are Tiny Space, Dear Neighbor, Pomona Plants and Coffee, Roots Tea Blends, I Am Andrea Nicole and Native Selections. Food and drink specials from Soul N' Vinegar, the ICA's new café vendor, will be available.

2020 Dogs On Call Calendar Sale
Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2019 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Calendars for 2020 featuring the Dogs On Call therapy dogs will be on sale for $10 on the first floor at Main Hospital, 1250 E. Marshall St. All proceeds support the Dogs On Call and the Center for Human-Animal Interaction. Therapy dogs visit patients, students and staff. Calendars will also be available for purchase at the same times and location on Dec. 19.

Jewish Medical Ethics Lunch at Hunton Student Center

Take Safety Measures During Winter Break
VCU Police reminds everyone to lock doors and windows of residences and offices and to take all keys during the break. Make arrangements for mail and packages to be picked up in a timely manner. Valuables should be stored in a locked drawer or closet or taken home. Drivers leaving a car on campus should park in a well-lighted area, remove valuables and lock the doors. Drivers staying in Richmond should park closer to residences and work sites. Cyclists should store bikes legally with a U-lock.

Design Curriculum for IExcel Education
The VCU Division for Inclusive Excellence has released its Request for Proposals (RFP-IE-002) Building a Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Certificate Program to seek partners who will design and develop course content for its Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Certificate Program. These sessions will be added to the course and program compendium offered through the division's new education platform, IExcel Education. This RFP is open to all VCU faculty, staff and students as well as community partners vested in the success of the university. The Division for Inclusive Excellence invites VCU and VCU Health System colleges, schools, divisions and units to facilitate events for the 2020 Martin Luther King Celebration Week at VCU, Jan. 19-25. The 2020 theme is "Reflections on the Fierce Urgency of Now." Supplemental funding for catering or other related expenses may be available.
