GRTC Plans Pulse, Route 5 Changes for Jan. 20

Due to increased traffic near the State Capitol on Lobby Day, GRTC will detour many bus routes, including the Pulse and Route 5, on Jan. 20 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Service delays are likely. VCU community members traveling between campuses are encouraged to utilize Route 5. MCV campus passengers can board the stops at Eighth and Clay or Eighth and Marshall to travel westbound. Monroe Park campus passengers can board the stops at Cary and Laurel, Cary and Harrison or Cary and Belvidere to travel eastbound. Pulse will experience several stop closures and detours along the route. The nearest available stops to the MCV campus will include Convention Center East, Main Street Station East and VCU Medical Center West. The VCU/VUU stop will continue to be serviced. Updates will be available on the GRTC mobile app or by following @GRTCTransit on Twitter.
