IExcel Education Informational Session for RFP-IE-002 To Develop Courses
4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The VCU Division for Inclusive Excellence has released its Request for Proposals (RFP-IE-002) Building a Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Certificate Program to seek partners who will design and develop course content for its Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Certificate Program. These sessions will be added to the course and program compendium offered through the division's new education platform, IExcel Education. This RFP is open to all VCU faculty, staff and students, as well as to community partners who are vested in the success of the university. An open informational session will be held in the Wanda S. Mitchell Conference Room in the Division for Inclusive Excellence at 817 S. Cathedral Place. Those interested in submitting a proposal by the end of January can learn more about the RFP and submission/development process by attending one of the informational sessions prior to Jan. 13 when the “Intent to Submit” form is due. 2020 Dogs On Call Calendars for Sale
Friday, Dec. 13, 2019 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Calendars for 2020 featuring the Dogs On Call therapy dogs will be on sale for $10 on the first floor at Main Hospital, 1250 E. Marshall St. All proceeds support the Dogs On Call and the Center for Human-Animal Interaction. Therapy dogs visit patients, students and staff. Calendars will also be available for purchase at the same times and location on Dec. 17 and Dec. 19.

Master in Product Innovation Early Decision Deadline
The 13-month, cross-disciplinary master’s program focuses on students applying knowledge in advanced product innovation and entrepreneurship topics with real-life clients. Integrating arts, business and engineering principles, students in the Master of Product Innovation learn advanced product innovation and entrepreneurship topics pertaining to conceptualization, development and commercialization of new products and services. Virtual Immersive Gaming to Optimize Recovery in Low Back Pain
Are you currently experiencing low back pain, between the ages of 18-60 years old and interested in the possibility of nine weeks of nonsurgical experimental treatment? If you answered yes to all three you may qualify for our research. What? New, innovative and fun virtual reality games are designed to help people with chronic back pain move and feel better. Where? All appointments, testing and treatments are conducted at VCU. When? Participation in the study involves 24 one-hour appointments scheduled over a 57-week period. Who?
