Looking for reliable, up-to-date information about coronavirus? Go to: go.vcu.edu/virus. The new research guide from VCU’s Tompkins-McCaw Health Sciences Library compiles best-available information resources for lay people and medical professionals. The online guide is free, available to all and will be updated regularly.

Central Virginia SOCRA Chapter Meeting

The Central Virginia Society of Clinical Research Associates chapter will screen the documentary film "The Bleeding Edge" in Rooms 11-101/102, James W. and Frances G. McGlothlin Medical Education Center, 1201 E. Marshall St. The program agenda also includes a review of FDA medical device regulations, a discussion of the importance of surveillance monitoring and recognizing patients/participants risk and benefits for medical devices.

Open Studios, Performances and Noise Sets
5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
The VCUarts Sculpture + Extended Media Studies senior class will present "One, Two, Three - on One!," a night of open studios, performances and noise sets at The Anderson, 907 1/2 W. Franklin St. Open studios and performances will be held at 5 p.m. Noise sets begin at 7 p.m. and DJ sets kick off at 9 p.m. Sculpture seniors will also be collecting clothing (particularly coats) and canned food to donate to local organizations. They will also be accepting $3-$5 donations for their senior show.

Chili’s at VCU Hosts Official Men’s Basketball Away Game Watch Party
9 p.m.
During March, cheer alongside the Rowdy Rams at the official men’s basketball watch party at Chili’s at VCU. Join Robert Winn, M.D., director of VCU's Massey Cancer Center, as he discusses the impact of the nation's cancer centers in advancing scientific discoveries into new standards of care and what's on the horizon for cancer research and care in the 21st century. Pilates Class
Thursday, Mar. 19, 2020 from noon to 12:45 p.m.
VCU Human Resources and Recreational Sports will host a pilates session to strengthen core muscles, increase flexibility and improve posture. Participants will be guided through a series of low-impact floor exercises aimed at targeting abdominals, lower back muscles, pelvic floor, hips and glutes. The session will be in the Marshall Street Studio, which is attached to the VCU Basketball Development Center, 1300 W. Marshall St. (behind the Siegel Center). The studio has a private, exterior door entrance located to the right of the main entrance. Register in Talent.

Virginia Clinical Research Conference: Collaborate 2020
