Off Campus Student Services is hosting a monthly workshop to walk step-by-step through the process of finding and renting an apartment. Learn about deposits, leases, budgets, tenant/landlord rights and more. The session will be held in Suite 229, the Student Leadership and Engagement Center, University Student Commons, 907 Floyd Ave. Sessions will also be held at the same location at 2 p.m. Feb. 19 and 3 p.m. March 19.

'Identifying Appropriate Funding for Your Research'
Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2020 from noon to 1 p.m.
Patrick Nana-Sinkam, M.D., will lead the first session of a series on grant writing hosted by the C. Kenneth and Dianne Wright Center for Clinical and Translational Research. He will discuss considerations that will help a researcher determine the type of funding for which to apply. Open Meeting of VCU Votes Student Coalition

VCU Votes Student Coalition will hold its first open meeting in the Office of Student Leadership and Civic Engagement, Room 229, University Student Commons, 907 Floyd Ave. This is the first in a series of weekly meetings dedicated to breaking down barriers and increasing student awareness through civic learning and democratic engagement work while collaborating with such organizations as Campus Vote Project, NextGen, VA Student Power Network, Virginia’s League of Conservation Voters and ASPiRE.

Free Bus Trip to the March for Life in D.C.

ICA Talk: Guadalupe Maravilla
Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2020 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Guadalupe Maravilla, an assistant professor at VCU School of the Arts, will discuss his installation "Disease Thrower," on view through July 1 at the ICA. Maravilla will explore how drawing, sculpture, performance and community engagement become vehicles for exploring his own experiences with illness and migration, as well as the anxieties experienced by undocumented peoples. The talk will be at the Institute for Contemporary Art at the Markel Center, 601 W. Broad St.

Virginia Clinical Research Conference: Collaborate 2020
Friday, Apr. 3, 2020 from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Virginia Clinical Research Conference, hosted by the VCU C. Kenneth and Dianne Wright Center for Clinical and Translational Research, is a one-day event that brings together research teams from across Virginia to collaborate and strengthen the statewide clinical research enterprise. The event will be held at the Hilton Richmond Hotel and Spa/Short Pump, 12042 W Broad St. Submissions for the poster competition are due Feb. 28. Early-bird registration ends Feb. 3 and the deadline to register is March 3.
