Keynote Speaker Named for VA Regional Health Sciences Education Symposium

VCU School of Medicine has announced the keynote details for the VA Regional Health Sciences Education Symposium to be given at 11 a.m. Feb. 28 at the Jonah L. Larrick Student Center, 900 Turpin St. Sheila Chauvin, Ph.D., M.Ed., of LSU School of Medicine, New Orleans, will present "Educational Scholarship as a Team Sport: The C's to Success." Chauvin will discuss a conceptual framework as a systematic approach to envisioning and enhancing productivity in educational research and scholarship through engagement with others. Feb. 28 Deadline Set for $1,000 to $30,000 Affordable Educational Resources Grants

VCU Libraries, in support of open and affordable course materials across the VCU community, announces that a new round of statewide VIVA (Virtual Library of Virginia) Course Redesign Grants is open for applications. These $1,000 to $30,000 grants empower Virginia faculty with the resources and time they need to redesign courses by swapping textbooks and other expensive course materials for open, no cost, or library options.
