Volunteer Orientation for 'One Richmond, One Book'

"One Richmond, One Book" is a reading program by ReadToThem.org that provides books in March to Richmond Public Schools for family literacy. Volunteers can serve as classroom readers, activity leaders, transporters, creative members and more. Project coordinator TaLees Owens will host an orientation for volunteers at the Center on Health Disparities, fourth floor, Theatre Row Building, 730 E. Patient Safety Awareness Week: Safety Fair

VCU Health will host a safety fair as part of Patient Safety Awareness Week in the Main 2 Meeting Center, Main Hospital, 1250 E. Marshall St. Topics to be covered at the event include medication safety, exposure safety, fall safety and more. Prizes and one special grand prize will be available.

An Overview of Resources for Open Education, Creative Commons

'Effective Communication Using DISC Styles'

Donations Needed for Clothing Closet
Episcopal Campus Ministry in association with Red Door Ministry at Grace and Holy Trinity Episcopal Church is in need of gently used men's clothing. Each week students and community members come together to feed hungry, pray for the sick and provide for basic needs. Clothing can be dropped off at the church, 8 N. Laurel St., between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
