Virtual Taiko (Japanese Drumming)

Join the University Band
University Band (APPM 357) is open to all VCU students and staff. University Band is a one-credit course that meets Monday-Wednesday-Friday from 3-3:50 p.m. No audition is required. Members of this ensemble perform one concert each semester. Choose APPM 357 when registering for fall courses.

Clinical Trials Day 2020 To Be Observed
May 20 is international Clinical Trials Day, a time to celebrate the efforts of the doctors, nurses and staff who make clinical trials happen. The day offers an opportunity to encourage patient participation in clinical trials. The C. Kenneth and Dianne Wright Center for Clinical and Translational Research, VCU's home for clinical trials along with the Massey Cancer Center, encourages members of the VCU community to post their support of clinical researchers and patients who enroll in trials with #CTD2020 and tagging the Wright Center.

Filelocker To Be Upgraded
Filelocker, a web application used to securely share files on and off campus, will be upgraded May 21-June 21 and migrated to a new server. The program is managed by Web Services and allows for larger uploads than can be attached in an email. Filelocker is also HIPAA compliant. The application is used widely around the university and averages over 2,000 uploads per month.

Safety Video Contest For Students
VCU Police and VCU Arts are looking for student pitches and ideas for future safety videos. The extended deadline for entries is May 22. All that is needed is a cellphone or laptop with a video camera. Videos do not have to be highly produced and can be filmed from anywhere.
