Study Abroad Spring Fair

VCU's Education Abroad Office will hold its Study Abroad Spring Fair in Rodney's Lounge, Shafer Court Dining Center, 810 Cathedral Place. Learn about semester, summer and short-term Study Abroad options. Meet with representatives from key VCU resource offices and affiliate program providers. Study Abroad staff, participating students and faculty program leaders will be available. Ten students will receive a $500 study abroad award.

First Tuesdays With You First: 'It's All Love'

You First at VCU will host "It's All Love," its initial First Tuesday event of the spring semester. Human Trafficking Medical Symposium

Wednesdays in the Workshop Accessibility Series: Video Capturing and Captioning
Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2020 from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
As universities respond to accessibility issues in teaching, adding captions to instructional videos and online courses is a priority. This workshop covers the basics of planning, creating, captioning and uploading video content that serves hearing-impaired users. The principles of Universal Design for Learning will be discussed. VCU requires captioning for all published videos. The workshop will be held in the workshop, lower level, James Branch Cabell Library, 901 Park Ave.

VCU DPT: Beginner Salsa Lesson and Fundraiser

'Fire and Freedom: Food and Enslavement in Early America'

PLAY Research Program
The Play and Learning Across a Year Research Program in VCU’s Physical Therapy Department is seeking to recruit children. Participation in the study would include recording a one-hour session of in-home observation of the infant moving, playing and interacting with their environment, followed by questionnaires to better understand the child’s development. Parents will be provided a $50 compensation at the end of the visit. To be eligible to participate, the child must be 12, 18 or 24 months (plus or minus one week).
