Has your VCU experience changed as a result of COVID-19? RAMmalogues provides an opportunity for virtual dialogue with other students about these lived experiences to understand them in the context of acceptance, belonging and inclusion. This will be a special online session using Zoom (with some small group discussions). As the COVID-19 outbreak creates distance between us, we believe it is still important to stay connected, check in with our peers and have a discussion about the emotional, mental and social impacts of COVID-19. RAMmalogues provides a braver/safer space for students to talk with each other about their social identities and lived experiences at VCU through dialogues on race, gender, class and similar themes, led by trained facilitators provided by Kimbrough Consulting and Richmond Action Dialogues. VCU First Destination Survey Live

The VCU First Destination Survey is live for May 2020 graduates on Handshake at VCU. Responses to this survey will provide VCU with information used to improve career and academic advising, student recruitment and student services. Deadline Extended for Fall 2020 Spit for Science Undergraduate Research Assistant Applications

Undergraduate team members will assist with outreach and work in teams to develop research questions and analyze Spit for Science data. Students from all majors and at all class levels are welcome to apply. Enrollment will be for three credits (A-F grading system). Due to the extension of VCU's spring break, the application deadline has been extended to 5 p.m. on March 25.

Digital Media Strategies for the COVID-19 Crisis

In partnership with the Richard T. Robertson School of Media and Culture, Digital Media Strategies for the COVID-19 Crisis will be offered March 30-May 8 in an online, self-paced format with Jeanine Guidry, Ph.D., assistant professor in the Robertson school and director of the Media + Health Lab. The course is open to VCU students and VCU and VCU Health employees for credit, as well as to the community as noncredit. Eligible employees may use their tuition benefit/education assistance. Noncredit revenue will be split between funding Coronavirus-related research by the Media + Health Lab and assisting with student needs.

Two VCUDine locations will be open and accepting swipes all day during hours of operation. Health in Emerging Adults and Racism in Richmond

VCU School of Medicine is looking for black women ages 18-25 with a BMI between 25-45 kg/milligrams squared in the Richmond area who want to take part in a study designed to capture experiences of racial discrimination. HER Squared is a research study designed to provide the opportunity to reflect on various experiences with racism and how you deal with the experiences. Compensation is available for eligible participants.
