Spend a Fully Funded Year Abroad Via the Fulbright U.S. Student Program

VCU National Scholarship Office will host an informational meeting about the Fulbright U.S. Student Program, a fully funded opportunity to spend a year in one of more than 140 countries conducting research, working on a creative project, pursuing postgraduate study or teaching English. 'Unity, Diversity and Victory: Supporting Displaced Communities'

Highland Support Project at VCU presents Muna Hijazi, who will speak about her work connecting Middle Eastern immigrants and indigenous Americans in acts of political solidarity. Hijazi, a Palestinian-American, has worked with indigenous Americans to connect issues and communities. The event will be in Room 1030C (VCU Globe), West Grace Street Student Housing – North, 830 W. Bebé Listo: Latinx Neonatal Health Disparities
7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The Collective Corazón will host a talk by Tiffany Green, Ph.D., formerly a professor in the Department of Health Behavior and Policy at VCU, who will discuss her research on Latinx health disparities. The Collective Corazón focuses on bringing awareness to Latinx health equity. Bebé Listo (Baby Ready), is an app developed by Green and VCU students that is culturally tailored to Hispanic and Latinx parents-to-be. The session will be in Room A, University Student Commons, 907 Floyd Ave.

VCU Symphony Featuring Sonia Rubinsky, Piano

Catholic Graduate Student Organization Luncheon: In Search of a Miracle

Are miracles real ... or is it all just wishful thinking? Hear Megan Bean, New York native and wife and mother of two sons for 22 years until 2007 when she faced a illness that left her unable to work or volunteer for five years. Doctors said she was medically incurable. In 2013 she went on a pilgrimage to Lourdes, France, where she experienced a dramatic healing. She is inspired and motivated to share her story of miraculous healing. All are welcome. Pizza and drinks will be provided. The luncheon will be held in Room 7-102, James W. and Frances G. ICA First Friday: 'Direct to Video'

ICA Cinema: 'Amazing Grace'
Wednesday, Mar. 11, 2020 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
"Amazing Grace," a concert film starring Aretha Franklin, will be screened at the Institute for Contemporary Art at the Markel Center, 601 W. Broad St. Accompanied by the Rev. James Cleveland and the Southern California Community Choir, Franklin recorded the album over two days in January 1972 at the New Temple Missionary Baptist Church in Los Angeles. Producer Alan Elliott has compiled footage from the performance for the film.

Spring Midterm Grades Are Now Available
Students are encouraged to go to eServices to begin checking to see if their professors have submitted a midterm grade for one or more classes. Log on to Student eServices at the following URL. Students who have received a midterm grade indicating unsatisfactory academic progress should see their instructor or academic adviser. The last day to withdraw from classes is March 20.

Take the 2020 VCU National College Health Assessment
The 2020 VCU National College Health Assessment Survey, mailed to 5,000 randomly selected VCU graduate and undergraduate students, closes March 9. Participation in the confidential survey, sent by the Health Promotion and Well-Being Center, takes 20-30 minutes. All students who complete the survey will be entered to win one of 10 $200 credits to Ram Tech.
