The VCU baseball team will take on Iona College at The Diamond, 3001 N. Arthur Ashe Blvd. The teams will also play at 2 p.m. March 14 and 1 p.m. March 15.

IRB Open Consulting Hours at Hunton House
Wednesday, Mar. 11, 2020 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The VCU Institutional Review Board will continue offering open IRB consulting hours, hosted by the Psychology Department. IRB staff will be available for drop-in consultations with faculty and students from any school or department at VCU in the first-floor dissertation room, Hunton House, 810 W. Franklin St.

Are You Financially Healthy?

This workshop, hosted by VCU Human Resources, focuses on the four key components of financial health - spend, save, borrow and plan. Participants will have the opportunity to determine, in confidence, an individual financial health score and the necessary steps to improve it. Women in Science To Host Girl Scout Science Day
Saturday, Apr. 18, 2020 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
VCU's Women in Science will host the organization's annual Girl Scout Science Day on the MCV Campus. Cadet-level Girl Scouts will spend a full day at hands-on stations learning about all walks of STEM. Volunteers are being sought to help facilitate the day. Monroe Scholars Book and Author Luncheon
Wednesday, May 20, 2020 from noon to 2 p.m.
VCU Alumni will celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the Monroe Scholars Book and Author Luncheon. VCU alumnus and author David Baldacci (B.A.’83/H&S; H.L.D.’01) will be the keynote speaker at the luncheon, to be held at Jefferson Lakeside Country Club, 1700 Lakeside Ave. Baldacci has published 40 novels for adults and seven novels for younger readers, all of which have been national and international bestsellers, and several have been adapted for film and TV. Tickets are $80 and may be purchased by May 6 at the following URL. The luncheon benefits the Monroe Scholars Book Award, given annually to a high school junior selected by their school. Those students who apply and enroll at VCU receive a scholarship valued up to $2,000 from VCU Alumni.

VRS Hybrid Plan Contribution Deadline Is March 16
March 16 is the election deadline for voluntary contributions to become effective in April for Virginia Retirement System Hybrid Plan participants. Voluntary contributions can be changed once per calendar quarter. Participants can voluntarily contribute up to 4 percent of their creditable salary and receive up to a 2.5 percent employer match.

Call for Proposals: VCU Student Research Conference
The VCU Department of Political Science's 14th Annual Politics and Government Student Research Conference will be held April 10 in the University Student Commons. The conference is free and open to the public. Proposals should be submitted at the following URL by March 24.
