Pilates Class
Thursday, Mar. 19, 2020 from noon to 12:45 p.m.
VCU Human Resources and Recreational Sports will host a pilates session to strengthen core muscles, increase flexibility and improve posture. Participants will be guided through a series of low-impact floor exercises aimed at targeting abdominals, lower back muscles, pelvic floor, hips and glutes. The session will be in the Marshall Street Studio, which is attached to the VCU Basketball Development Center, 1300 W. Marshall St. (behind the Siegel Center). The studio has a private, exterior door entrance located to the right of the main entrance. Register in Talent.

Can Old and Disturbed Forests Soak Up Our Carbon Emissions?

VCU Honors College will host Chris Gough, VCU associate professor of biology, for a Berglund seminar. He will discuss how large-scale field experiments, open science networks and computer models are providing insights into how forests respond to disturbances. The talk will also include science communication, policy development and land-use management. The seminar will be in Room 1303 (multipurpose room), The Honors College, 701 W. Grace St.

Food Choices and Fitness Goals
