Red Door Roadside Lunch
Friday, Apr. 3, 2020 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Episcopal Campus Ministry continues to work with Red Door Ministry during the time of COVID-19 to provide a community meal for those in need. If you are available on Fridays to help pack bag lunches between 10 a.m. and noon or to distribute meals between noon and 2 p.m., contact ECM Chaplain Kimberly Reinholz at the following telephone number or email address. Social distancing is being practiced, so space is limited. No drop-in volunteers will be needed. For those who need them, meals can be picked up, no questions asked.

The VCU Institutional Review Board will continue offering open IRB consulting hours, sponsored by the L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs. IRB staff will be available for virtual drop-in consultations with faculty, students and staff from any school or department at VCU. 2020 McGee Lecture Online
Monday, Apr. 6, 2020 at 5 p.m.
Monty Alger, Ph.D., professor in chemical engineering at Penn State University, will give the VCU School of Engineering's Henry A. McGee lecture online. Alger, who has more than 30 years of experience in the chemicals and energy industries, serves on the Shenhua National Institute of Clean and Low Carbon Energy Technical Advisory Board and is a trustee of the United Engineering Foundation. 'Take Back the Net'
Tuesday, Apr. 7, 2020 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
VCU Advocacy Program, in partnership with the Virginia Campus Task Force, will host its first annual "Take Back the Net," a virtual speakout for survivors of sexual assault. This event will include speakers and audience members from universities across the commonwealth. Speakers have signed up and been selected ahead of time. They will share their stories of courage, resilience and hope.

Training Sessions Canceled
VCU Environmental Health and Safety-Safety and Risk Management departments have been closely monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic and have been preparing plans and responses to prevent spread within the university community. As a preventive measure, all scheduled training events have been canceled. Registered participants will receive cancellation notifications via email. Schedule a Resilience Lab Appointment
The Health Promotion and Well-being Center is offering free, one-on-one Resilience Lab appointments for students via Zoom.
