Workshop Webinar: Making a Personal Protective Face Mask
3 p.m.
VCU Libraries' Innovative Media Department, in partnership with the VCUarts Department of Fashion Design and Merchandising, will present an online demonstration of how to make a personal face mask. This virtual workshop covers the basics of creating a cloth face mask with common materials and tools found at home. Different methods will be covered, including no-sew solutions. Neither previous sewing experience nor access to a sewing machine is required.

Surviving Remote@VCU
Surviving Remote@VCU is tailored for faculty members who must move a face-to-face course to emergency remote teaching in response to a crisis like the COVID-19 pandemic. The intent of this two-week course, hosted by the Academic Learning Transformation Lab, is to help faculty members understand different aspects of remote teaching, including instructor presence, transition considerations, redesigning instructional content and assessments and creating engaging content in Blackboard. Sections will run every two weeks, with cohorts beginning on Mondays, until all interested participants have been given a chance to participate. Register at the following URL.

RVA Relief Runners Virtual 5K for The Holli Fund

School of the Arts Dean Preliminary Presentation Slides and Forum Question Links Available
Preliminary slide presentations have been posted by the search committee for the position of Dean, School of the Arts and Special Assistant to the Provost for the School of the Arts in Qatar. The university community is invited to submit questions for the candidates using the “submit a question for this candidate” link next to each candidate’s headshot. A moderator will present the questions to the candidate during a recorded forum in the order in which they have been received. Questions must be submitted by 9 a.m. April 27.
