VCU Information Security Office warns that scammers are leveraging the COVID-19 pandemic to send individuals emails with malicious links or attachments. The message will usually pretend to be an authoritative source claiming to contain critical information related to COVID-19. The email will usually include a link or attachment, and the links or attachments will either attempt to infect your computer or trick you into providing your credentials.

May 20 is international Clinical Trials Day, a time to celebrate the efforts of the doctors, nurses and staff who make clinical trials happen. Filelocker, a web application used to securely share files on and off campus, will be upgraded May 21-June 21 and migrated to a new server. The program is managed by Web Services and allows for larger uploads than can be attached in an email. Filelocker is also HIPAA compliant. The application is used widely around the university and averages over 2,000 uploads per month.
