Records Management 101 Training

VCU's Records Management Office will hold Records Management 101 training online via Zoom. Safe Sitter Babysitting Course
Monday, Aug. 17, 2020 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Does your middle-school son or daughter stay home alone? Do they know how to be safe when watching younger siblings? The Safe Sitter Babysitting Course, offered by VCU Health, is designed to prepare students in grades six through eight to be safe when they are home alone, watching younger siblings or babysitting. A three-day virtual class will be held on Aug. 17, and also Aug. 18 and 19 at 10-11:30 a.m. The cost is $25 and includes a student handbook. Register by emailing karen.hill@vcuhealth.org.

Google Chat Replacing Google Hangouts
Beginning Aug. 10, users will see Google Chat replacing Google Hangouts in their web browsers. Users will be prompted to install Google Chat on their smartphones if they currently use Google Hangouts. Chat offers 1:1 direct messaging, group messaging and supports virtual rooms for team collaboration. Teams can share files from Drive and join online meetings with Meet.

Discounted Adobe Creative Cloud Licenses for Faculty and Staff
Adobe Creative Cloud licenses are available for purchase by individual faculty and staff for $190 per year. These licenses are assigned to an individual and may be used on multiple computers (maximum of two at the same time). Adobe Acrobat Pro DC licenses are $60 per year. Departmental licenses are also available for $190 per year and are assigned to a single computer. Volunteer With The Simple Sunflower
The Simple Sunflower is a VCU community service organization seeking volunteers from all walks of life. Summer 2020 Final Grading Due Aug. 11 at Noon
Grade sheets are now available on faculty eServices. Grades are due by noon on Aug. 11, at which time grade entry will no longer be available. All grades must be reported by noon Aug. 11 to complete end-of-semester processes. Faculty may only access grade sheets for courses to which they have been assigned in the Class Schedule.
