Select Monroe Park Campus Parking Decks To Close Beginning 10 p.m. Nov. 2

All Monroe Park Campus parking decks, with the exception of the West Main Street Deck, will be closed 10 p.m. Nov. 2 through 7 a.m. Nov. 4. Those who need to access their vehicle during the closure can relocate to the West Main Street Deck or any nonreserved space at a VCU parking lot beginning at 11 a.m. on Oct. 30.

Massey Cancer Center Funding Opportunity: ACS-IRG Applications Due Nov. 30

Massey Cancer Center invites junior faculty to submit applications for the award of small research grants of up to $30,000 for one year to perform basic, pre-clinical, clinical and cancer-control research studies. The American Cancer Society Institutional Research Grants are awarded to junior faculty to pursue basic, pre-clinical, clinical and cancer-control research studies. Applications are due Nov. 30 with a funding start date of Feb. 1, 2021.

No VCU Shuttle, RamRide Service on Election Day

In observance of Election Day on Nov. 3, the VCU shuttle will not be in operation. Additionally, RamRide will not provide service to the A, I, M, or R Lots. I Lot and Coliseum Deck subscribers who need to park may utilize the Eighth Street Deck. A Lot subscribers may park in N Deck, or, if preferred, continue to park A Lot. R Lot and M Lot subscribers should park in D Deck during this time. Normal service will resume on Nov. 4.

Free Flu Vaccines - USHS

University Student Health Services offers free flu vaccines to all students on both campuses. The flu vaccine is safe, effective and does not cause the flu. All students are encouraged to get the flu vaccine, especially those at high-risk for flu complications who may have asthma, diabetes or heart disease. Degree Works 5 Link Available Beginning Nov. 9

Students may begin to use Degree Works 5, the new version of Degree Works, on Nov. 9. The link will be accessible via the student menu in eServices. All students are encouraged to log in and become familiar with Degree Works 5 as soon as possible. Degree Works 4 will remain available until Dec. 18. Food for Fines Library Project

VCU Libraries will host a food drive through Dec. 18 to stock RamPantry at VCU. For each food item donated, VCU Libraries will waive $5 in overdue fines, up to a $30 maximum. Fees to repair damaged items or to replace lost items will not be waived. Bring food donations to the information Desk at James Branch Cabell Library, 901 Park Ave., or Tompkins-McCaw Library for the Health Sciences, 509 N. 12th St.
