In this session, sponsored by VCU Libraries, explore the Goochland County Rosenwald Schools Oral History digital collection, a project for preserving an important chapter in Virginia history. The Anderson presents OYA-9394, a performance by VCUarts Painting + Printmaking 2020 alumni Luis Vasquez La Roche from his thesis exhibition, "I Hope My Black Skin Don't Dirt This White Tuxedo." It will stream live on The Anderson's Instagram account (@vcuartstheanderson). The performance envisions a dystopian future navigated by the artist in a protective OYA suit as he develops new methods of survival.
