VCUarts Wavelength Lecture: Michael Rakowitz

Michael Rakowitz is a conceptual artist living and working in Chicago. His work has appeared in venues worldwide including dOCUMENTA (13), P.S.1, MoMA, MassMOCA, Castello di Rivoli, the 16th Biennale of Sydney, the 10th and 14th Istanbul Biennials, Sharjah Biennial 8, Tirana Biennale, National Design Triennial at the Cooper-Hewitt and Transmediale 05. Black Mental Health Matters: The Black Experience Unplugged

Join Myriam T. Kadeba, Ph.D., for an interactive session on why Black mental health matters for first-year Black students. What do racial identity and mental health have to do with each other? What are the psychological effects of navigating a predominantly white institution? And where on campus can Black students find culturally relevant support for their mental health and well-being? A Conversation With Washington Post Trailblazer Dorothy Butler Gilliam

Graduate Certificate in Health Care Innovation Spring Application Deadline

The Graduate Certificate in Health Care Innovation, a collaboration between the VCU School of Nursing and the VCU da Vinci Center, is one of the first of its kind. The certificate equips students with specific knowledge and skills to become leaders in developing digital and physical products, as well as processes related to the development and implementation of innovative solutions to health care issues, such as rising costs and improving quality and access to care.
