FSA Grace Period Extends Usage of Current Year's Balance Until Oct. 31

The state health benefits program has announced a grace period for 2019-2020 flexible spending account plans. Participants who have active FSAs as of June 30 may continue using remaining balances for claims incurred from July 1-Oct. 31. All claims must be submitted by Nov. 30. MEDLIFE Ecuador Service Learning Campaign

Honors biology student, Samah Nor Bouyakoub, a member of MEDLIFE at VCU, is participating in a service-learning campaign to provide free medical and dental care to low-income communities in Riobamba, Ecuador via a mobile clinic. Money contributed will go toward hiring doctors and nurses, purchasing medicine and follow-up care. Donations may be made via the following URL.
