Wednesdays in the Workshop on the Web: Video Captioning (Zoom, Kaltura and YouTube)

This workshop covers the basics of planning, creating, captioning and uploading video content that serves hearing-impaired users. The principles of Universal Design for Learning will be discussed. VCU requires captioning of any video (lectures and scholarly presentations) published on YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook or any other publicly available platform. CTLE Workshop: 'De-colonizing' the Classroom

VCU's Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence will present a workshop on inclusive teaching. Anthropology is a discipline fraught with historically colonial themes and avenues of inquiry. In this workshop, anthropology instructors will explore how these themes have shaped the way the discipline is conceived and taught, and strategies used for “de-colonizing” the content and pedagogy of VCU’s "Introduction to Anthropology" course. Alcohol Research Study
VCU Institute for Drug and Alcohol Studies is inviting volunteers aged 21-55 who frequently drink alcohol to participate in a research study to add to the science for developing new treatments for people with alcohol use disorder.
