VCU Researchers Can Now Access National COVID-19 Data

The National COVID Cohort Collaborative, or N3C, led by the National Institutes of Health, securely collects and organizes clinical and diagnostic data from patients across the country to create a dataset broad enough to engage in meaningful research of the novel coronavirus. V Foundation Scholar Grant for Black/African American Cancer Researchers

This grant opportunity is limited to researchers who self-identify as Black/African American. The award supports early tenure-track faculty by funding projects that can range from laboratory-based basic research through bench-to-bedside research. One application to the V Foundation is allowed. The applicant will be selected through an internal competition. YWCA Charity Drive

The final collection day for the Women in Science's YWCA Charity Drive is Nov. 6. Collection boxes are available in the lobbies of Sanger Hall, 1101 E. Marshall St., and the Molecular Medicine Research Building, 1220 E. Broad St. Donations should include school supplies such as markers, sharpeners and whiteboards and household items such as pillows, sheets, mops, dishcloths and plates.
