ICA at VCU To Reopen July 17
10 a.m.
The Institute for Contemporary Art at the Markel Center, 600 W. Broad St., will be open starting July 17. Visitors can explore exhibitions "Provocations: Guadalupe Maravilla" and "The Otolith Group: Xenogenesis," both extended through Aug. 9. To ensure visitors' safety, the ICA has instituted new protocols, including limiting capacity, enhanced cleaning and requiring face masks.

'Men of Color Discussion Group: A Conversation About Mental Health'

VCU Office of Multicultural Student Affairs presents a discussion facilitated by Deon Brown and Monquell Middleton. The group is for students who identify as men of color and provides a safe space with supportive peers to discuss issues related to the social, cultural and political aspects of their identities.

'Let's Talk' Discussion Groups

The Office of Multicultural Student Affairs is collaborating with The Health Promotion and Well-Being Center and University Counseling Services for another round of discussions. "Let's Talk" is back with three affinity groups: Black identified, white identified and non-Black POC. Those who wish may participate in the group best representing their identity.

Making the Most of a Career Fair (In-person or Virtual)

Career fairs are a staple at most every college, and they are a great way to learn about different organizations and opportunities, as well as snag a job opportunity. This session, hosted by VCU Career Services, will focus on tips for preparing for and making a great impression at a career fair (like the Federal Work-Study Job Fair or Part-Time Job Fair, hosted early in the semester at VCU), no matter the format or your experience level. PennyAppeal at VCU: Feed Yemen Today
PennyAppeal at VCU is a nonprofit student organization that is raising money to send food kits to starving children and families in Yemen. It costs $1.50 to provide one meal to a person who is suffering from hunger and poverty during this humanitarian crisis. Donations may be made via the following URL.
