Throughout a career in sound art, electronic music and soundtrack composition, Stephen Vitiello, professor and chair, Kinetic Imaging, VCUarts, has created works in which sound is a primary medium. At the same time, he has collaborated across disciplines, including working with award-winning artists, dancers and choreographers, novelists, poets and a biologist. In this lecture, Vitiello will discusse the interdisciplinary power and potential of audio and visual art.

To support VCU community members traveling cross-campus with increased safety concerns, VCU Parking and Transportation launched a temporary express shuttle on Aug. 14. Buses travel to designated stops at James Branch Cabell Library, 901 Park Ave.; One Capitol Square, 830 E. Main St.; and McGuire Hall, 1112 E. Clay St. Students and employees can ride by presenting a VCU or VCU Health System ID card to the driver upon boarding. Face masks must be worn upon boarding and while riding the bus at all times.
