MFA Thesis Alumni Exhibitions

VCUarts The Anderson, 907 1/2 W. Franklin St., will present exhibitions from three MFA alumni from the Class of 2020. Works by Eric Anthony Berdis (Craft/Material Studies), Bryan Castro (Painting + Printmaking) and John Hee Taek Chae (Painting + Printmaking) will be shown. Berdis' "it's going to feel like Wednesday all day," Castro's "An Incessant Modulation" and Chae's "good faith" are all on view through Feb. 5.

Inclusivity in Career Development at VCU: Panel Series

VCU Human Resources will host the first of a series of panel discussions on career development with a focus on diversity, inclusion and equity. The panel will include four panelists from a diverse array of backgrounds and experiences, including race, ethnicity, gender and job family. CLARION Scholarship Competition Interest Meeting
Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2021 at noon
Join the Center for Interprofessional Education and Inter Health Professionals Alliance for an interest meeting on the National CLARION Competition. This is a student case competition for health professional students, enabling them to achieve a 360-degree perspective on patient safety in today's health care system and how it might be improved. Student teams, consisting of four students, composed of at least two disciplines, are given a case and are charged with creating a root cause analysis. The team presents its analysis to a panel of interprofessional judges that evaluates their analysis in the context of real-world standards of practice. Patterns in Place: Panel Discussion Investigating Methodologies of Study Used To Examine Regional and Vernacular Patterns
Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
With the support of a VCUarts Dean’s Exploratory Research Grant, the Patterns of Place research team has, over the past two years, engaged professional designers in pattern documentation exercises. Seven professional designers have submitted nearly 100 pattern observations to the research team, investigating patterns in natural and built environments. This panel discussion, part of the VCUarts Faculty Lecture Series, will share research outcomes and the varied processes used by the designers who participated.

Submit a Question for VCU Libraries Dean Candidates
The VCU Libraries Dean search committee has posted preliminary slide presentations.
