Goldwater Scholarship Informational Sessions

The National Scholarship Office will host two virtual informational sessions about the Goldwater Scholarship, an award for sophomores and juniors planning to pursue a career in STEM-field research. Child Health Research Institute Translational and Personalized Research Theme Meeting

National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Informational Session

The National Scholarship Office will host a virtual informational session about the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship and how to apply. This five-year grant includes three years of funding for tuition and educational costs for graduate study in the STEM fields. VCU Health Hub at 25th Reopens
The VCU Health Hub reopened its doors to provide Richmond East End residents access to care coordination, health education and wellness education, and in-person and virtual activities needed to stay healthy. A community health worker is currently on-site, and residents are being surveyed to better understand community health needs. The Health Hub is now open 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. VCU students using the Health Hub services should also note that COVID-19-related reporting should still be directed through Student Health Services.

Public Disclosure Announcement: The ACCESS Study Has Been Completed
The ACCESS (Access to the Cardiac Cath Lab in Patients Without ST-Segment Elevation MI Resuscitated From Out-of-Hospital V. Fib Cardiac Arrest) trial was stopped early, in July 2019, because the rate of subject enrollment was too low. The study results showed no difference in patient outcomes between treatment with initial admission to the cardiac catheterization laboratory compared to initial ICU admission, including survival and functionally favorable survival at hospital discharge and three months following hospital discharge.
