Wednesdays in the Workshop (on the Web): Premiere Pro Team Projects and Remote Video Editing Workflows

Gain a deeper and more advanced understanding of the creative tool used by Hollywood filmmakers, TV editors and anyone with a story to tell. Adobe video expert Jonathan Carrera will present Premiere Pro's newest features, workflows and automated tools powered by Adobe Sensei that speed up time-consuming tasks to allow time to focus on the story. Hygiene Supply Drive
9 a.m.
The VCU Health Hub at 25th will host a hygiene supply drive in partnership with the Richmond Public Library to benefit those experiencing financial hardship and housing insecurity. The drive will be held Oct. 28-Nov. 30 with collection boxes at James Branch Cabell Library, 901 Park Ave.; Tompkins-McCaw Library for the Health Sciences, 509 N. 12th St.; Institute for Contemporary Art at the Markel Center, 601 W. Broad St.; and VCU Police, 224 E. Broad St. Travel sizes of the following items are requested: shampoo, toothbrushes and toothpaste, deodorant, sunscreen, hand sanitizer, combs and feminine hygiene products.

'This Is Us; Mental Health in Art and Story'

Storytelling and Healing and Active Minds will present a two-part exploration of student mental health narratives and artistic self-expression in healing. Submissions in any creative and narrative format will be accepted, including but not limited to testimonies, fiction or nonfiction pieces, poetry, musical compositions, visual media and more. PennyAppeal at VCU’s Winter Clothing Drive
PennyAppeal at VCU is hosting a winter clothing drive for students to donate clothes to the homeless residents of Richmond. All items received from the drive will be donated to Grace and Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. Gloves, coats, shirts and pants are most needed. The drive will run through Oct. 29. A drop-off bin will be available next to the information desk in the University Student Commons, 907 Floyd Ave.
