HOSA To Hold General Body Meeting

Health Occupations Students of America at VCU will host the group's first general body meeting of the semester via Zoom. A representative of Kaplan, Inc. will speak. Kaplan offers test prep, license and certification exam prep, degree programs, English learning and pathway programs. The speaker will outline a Kaplan program which includes the chance to receive a scholarship valued at $2,499 if the club reaches 300 sign-ups for the campaign by Nov. 13. 9/11 Day of Service — Kit Assembly for Mask Makers

The Center for Community Engagement and Impact sponsors a 9/11 Day of Service event at the VCU Health Hub at 25th Street. Socially distanced volunteers will rip and cut fabric/elastic and prepare kits for those in the community who sew. Areas for Eating and Studying
VCU has installed tents with more than 100 seats and dedicated some classroom space in Hibbs Hall, 900 Park Ave., for students, faculty and staff to use for eating and studying. Individuals should clean up after themselves, disinfect shared surfaces before and after use and not move the furniture that has been positioned to maintain physical distancing. Like to Read? Be a Part of the Cabell First Novelist Award
Faculty, staff and students at VCU are invited to participate as volunteer readers in the VCU Cabell First Novelist Award. The award, coordinated by VCU's English Department and the James Branch Cabell Library, honors a debut novel written during the preceding calendar year. The Cabell Committee is now receiving entries for the 2021 award and readers are needed to begin reviewing submissions. Details, email cabellfn@vcu.edu.

Export Control Regulations Update
Due to new federal regulations related to international travel, VCU's Export Compliance Program is updating its RAMS ECO system. Once travel resumes, RAMS ECO will automatically request more information from travelers on the data and technology they plan to carry with them on official VCU business abroad.
