VCUarts the Anderson, 907 1/2 W. Franklin St., will host a reception for exhibitions featuring works by Mariana Parisca and Jared Duesterhaus. An installation by Kyrae Dawaun will also be featured. Physical distancing and face masks will be required.

National Eczema Association Event

Tired of staying in your house or dorm all the time and looking at your computer screen? Join the Transfer Student Association on a physically distant trek to Belle Isle. Wednesdays in the Workshop on the Web: Video Captioning (Zoom, Kaltura and YouTube)

This workshop covers the basics of planning, creating, captioning and uploading video content that serves hearing-impaired users. The principles of Universal Design for Learning will be discussed. VCU requires captioning of any video (lectures and scholarly presentations) published on YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook or any other publicly available platform. Managing Low Back Pain

VCU Police Offering Free U-locks at VCU Libraries
VCU student, faculty and staff cyclists can pick up free U-locks at two central locations. At James Branch Cabell Library, 901 Park Ave., cyclists can request a lock from the R.M.C. Events security officer at the entrance desk. At Tompkins-McCaw Library for the Health Sciences, 509 N. 12th St., cyclists can check with the R.M.C. Events security officer, or the information desk, to inquire about locks. Supplies are limited. Bikes can be registered online through the VCU Police website.

Flu Immunization Clinics at VCU
As a convenience to university faculty and staff working on campus, VCU Human Resources has arranged for Walgreens, a participating pharmacy with the COVA health plans, to conduct four flu immunization clinics on both campuses during September and October. Virtual Reality Gaming for Back Pain
Are you currently experiencing low back pain, between the ages of 18 and 60 years old and interested in the possibility of nine weeks of nonsurgical experimental treatment? If you answered yes to all three questions, you may qualify for our research. Visit the following URL. What? New, innovative and fun virtual reality games designed to help people with chronic back pain move and feel better. Where? All appointments, testing and treatments are conducted at VCU. When? Participation in the study involves 24 one-hour appointments scheduled over a 57-week period. Who?
